Moving on up…
If "Made in China" was once a byword for cut-price, low-quality garments, toys and gadgets, then Dongguan has been the poster child for the nation's quantity-before-quality manufacturing model. But as the government's "Made in China 2025" campaign spurs Chinese firms to move up the value-added chain, the city is seeking to transform itself into a smart manufacturing base.
In the second of our "Greater Bay Area" delegation visits, AmCham HK plans an one-day study mission to Dongguan to meet global champions with deep roots in the area. Participants will gain a deeper insight into the city's efforts to transform original equipment manufacturers -- OEMs -- and to build global brands.
Who should come along?

Senior executives engaged in China business; financial services; real estate; manufacturing; trade and investment; shipping and logistics; information and technology; insurance & healthcare; intellectual property; people and organizational culture; entrepreneurs and SMEs; & professional service providers.
