Housing is in crisis in Hong Kong. Citizens must choose between an unaffordable living space or a micro- (or even nano-) flat. Alternatives are appearing ranging from co-living space developments to homes repurposed from concrete drainpipes or shipping containers. 2018's World Happiness Report, conducted by Gallup International, ranked Hong Kong as the seventh least happy city in the world. Are homes in Hong Kong becoming unlivable?

This lunchtime session will bring together experts from a range of backgrounds and disciplines, to share their views on what defines a livable home, how housing is developing in Hong Kong, and what – if anything – needs to be done.

Hosted by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Real Estate Committee
