Hosted by the Transportation & Logistics Committee and Trade & Investment Committee
PortMiami is finalizing its January travel plans to Asia to present an investment opportunity for the development of a World Trade Center Complex to be located on 12 acres of Miami's downtown waterfront. The World Trade Center complex will potentially include office towers, hotels, residential buildings, retail space, and a marina.
PortMiami is looking to generate interest among Asian developers for this project. They hope that a development team that includes Asian partners might also bring multi-national
companies as potential tenants of the World trade Center office towers.
PortMiami will be visiting 4 cities: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore . In each city, they hope to speak to commercial developers who might be interested in a mixed-use World Trade Center complex. The site can readily accommodate 2.5 million square feet of programmed space, as well as all necessary parking. PortMiami will also be giving an update on its $2 billion capital program to expand its container trade, which includes the construction of a tunnel directly linking the port to the highway system, an on-dock rail system, and a deep-dredged harbor.
Table bookings (10-12 persons) are welcome!
