Briefing on antitrust developments in Hong Kong and China
12:00-1:45pm. AmCham Law Committee is delighted to invite you for a briefing on recent developments in competition law in Hong Kong and China by Clara Ingen-Housz, antitrust Partner at Linklaters. With the new law coming into force in Hong Kong last December, is your business at risk? What are the new rules, what can you and should you do to ensure compliance, and what will be the new Competition Commission's enforcement priorities? In China, almost 8 years into the law, enforcement is now extremely vigorous, with fines reaching close to US$1 billion against one individual company, and sweeping reviews across entire industries.
Meanwhile, and in spite of recent positive developments, procedures remain all too often rudimentary. This session is the first in a series of presentations on Competition Law and its impact on various industries, including healthcare, financial institutions, retail etc. These sessions will take place across 2016 and will be hosted by the Law Committee in partnership with other sector-specific Committees of the Chamber. We look forward to your participation. First 15-20 minutes is for networking Sandwiches and beverages included Hosted by the Law Committee
