8:00-9:30am.  AmCham Insurance & Healthcare Committee is pleased to present an event on Improving staff productivity and performance through corporate wellbeing solutions .
Companies around the world especially in the US are fully aware of the importance of a healthy workforce, for better engagement, less absentee days, more 'presenteeism", and of course better overall productivity. Companies in Hong Kong are starting to embrace the need for wellness initiatives for their employees too especially in recognition of our high stressed and overworked culture. But to date, many companies can only offer ad hoc activities without any structured programs or plans.
Dr. James Wu   from Adventist Health will be our key guest speaker. Dr . Wu has a PhD in lifestyle and leadership at from Andrews University, Michigan, USA, and is a renowned expert in health promoting methodologies and has been instrumental in Adventist Health being the first and only hospital in Hong Kong being accredited as a health promoting hospital by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
He will share with us some insightful views on health and performance, and will introduce a new initiative Adventist Health has developed with Total Loyalty Company (TLC) to helping companies in HK improve the health and wellbeing of their employees for better performance.
We are also pleased to have  American Express   along to share with us their insights into successful 'Healthy Living" staff programs worldwide, and what positive changes they have achieved.
