8:00-9:30am.  Three years have elapsed since Xi Jinping became head of the Communist Party in 2012. Over that time themes have emerged - deepening reform through embracing the market, creating more hybrid ownership for enterprises, instilling greater discipline in the Party through the anti-corruption campaign.
With only two years now to go to the next Party Congress and an expected change of personnel at the topmost levels in China, what assessment can we make of Xi's progress so far? Where have the successes been, where have there been problems, and what are the next steps in domestic and foreign policy we can expect as China starts the road to the 19th Congress in 2017.
