12:00-1:45pm. The debate between International School or Local School is continuously debated among many Hong Kong families over the past years. Many aspects are compared and scrutinized, from the school's teaching method and philosophy, to the school environment. One key factor that has been discussed is the language component offered by the two systems.
With the strong English emphasis in International Schools, many of their students are not given the support in learning the Chinese language.
Vice versa, the same is evident in local schools. Many questions arise and the answers are inconclusive, as you will find each parent educator, or expert with a different response.
In this seminar Dr. Koong will try to dissect the differences between the two and hopefully give us more insights on finding out which one is suitable for our children and family.
