Brand Enforcement on the Internet: Strategies for 2016 and Beyond
12:00-1:45pm. This presentation will offer a survey of the current Internet landscape from an enforcement perspective. Attendees will learn how their online brand presence is a critical element of their organization's brand position in the marketplace, and why brand protection on a variety of fronts is important, considering both platforms and regional market differences. We will explore domain name portfolio management and enforcement strategies (in both 'old" and new gTLDs), the importance of social media policies and sensitivities surrounding social media enforcement, and the value of proactive online brand engagement.
We will also discuss best practices for working effectively with marketing and business teams to ensure that brands maintain strong protection, while considering the real-time nature of online communications in today's global business environment.
