Jonathan Hursh , Executive Director and Founder of INCLUDED, will discuss the issue of migrants in China, the founding of his organization, and what it is attempting to do to mitigate the plight of migrants.
Jonathan Hursh drives INCLUDED’s overall strategy, oversees its global operations, and is its chief connector. Jonathan founded the organization in Beijing in 2006, and it now has field operations in Beijing, Shanghai, Kathmandu, and Dhaka and is on path to build out a linked network of 10 strategic cities and 100 community centers across the world to advance the cause of migrant slums. He deeply believes that smart cities are inclusive towards their migrants. Jonathan has been quoted on the BBC, in The Wall Street Journal, and on CNN in regard to the issue. Jonathan is the recipient of the World Economic Forum connected Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 award and was recently recognized on the Global 100 Public Interest Design list for his leadership on good design for migrant slums. www.included.org
