Steven Hollman

Trial Attorney at Hogan Lovells

Steven Hollman is a trial attorney and former litigation practice group director whose practice at Hogan Lovells over the past 29 years has focused principally on intellectual property litigation. His litigation experience spans a broad spectrum of intellectual property matters and includes lead counsel roles in complex patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and Internet-related litigation, as well as over 50 trials or contested evidentiary hearings. Steve has been lead counsel in numerous successful federal district court patent, trademark and Lanham Act cases, as well as patent and copyright cases before Court of Federal Claims and patent and trademark cases before the U.S. International Trade Commission in section 337 investigations. He has argued successfully before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  
Steve served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Bar Association’s Maryland Chapter and is a Past-President of the Board of Governors for the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.  
Since 2001, Steve has taught the D.C. Bar course on trademark litigation. He writes and speaks frequently on intellectual property topics.   Most recently, he spoke on false advertising surveys at the AIPLA Annual Meeting in October 2012.   Steve received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University and his law degree at the University of Virginia.
