Peru takes over as host of the 2016 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) presents opportunities for increasing and strengthening cross-regional engagements and cooperation, especially in the areas of finance, trade, investment and services. One of the key initiatives to promote and facilitate greater financial integration and inclusion for the region is the 2015-2025 Cebu Action Plan, which was endorsed by APEC finance ministers last September. The APEC Asia-Pacific Financial Forum (APFF), with over 300 representatives from industry, public sector and multilateral institutions across the six work streams, will help to implement the Cebu Action Plan and support the deepening of financial integration through financial resilience, infrastructure development and financing, and fiscal reforms and transparency.
