International businessman, author and commentator Lawrence Allen lived and worked in Asia for over 2 decades, fulfilling the senior leadership needs of Fortune 100 global companies in the must-win markets of China and others in the Asia Pacific Region.
Before returning to the U.S. in 2012 Lawrence served 4 years with a Top-3 Senior Retained Executive Recruiter as their Partner-In-Charge, Beijing Office. There, Lawrence developed his passion and expertise for translating large-cap company best practices into small and mid-cap companies—helping them become more globally capable and competitive organizations through improved leadership.
Lawrence built his executive search practice on nearly 2 decades of successfully growing businesses for the world’s leading companies, among them: Nestlé, Hershey and Warner-Lambert. He has served in diverse functional and end-to-end roles including: Managing Director, Asia Pacific; Regional Director of Operations, Far East; and County Business Manager, China.
Lawrence earned his Masters Degree at Thunderbird School of Global Management.
He is author of Chocolate Fortunes: The Battle for the Hearts, Minds and Wallets of China’s Consumers , a China business book that chronicles the quarter-century battle between the world’s chocolate companies for the hearts, minds and taste buds of China’s emerging consumers.
