8:00-9:30am. Hong Kong has enjoyed a safe, reliable and affordable electricity supply, alongside a continuous improvement in the environmental performance of electricity generation.  How should we further develop our electricity market and improve our regulatory framework to sustain this performance?
In the current consultation paper, Government sets out options for the future development of the sector, proposes some possible options to improve the regulatory arrangement and lays out the plan to implement
the fuel mix for electricity generation in 2020 to meet the demand for electricity and achieve Hong Kong's environmental targets.
Given the paramount importance of electricity to our daily living, any market change needs to be fully deliberated by the community.  Donald Ng will analyse these complex issues and propose the possible options for consideration by the public.
