Emma Dodwell-Groves is the Intercultural Program Manager in charge of the Asia Pacific region for Brookfield Global Relocation Services (Brookfield GRS) Intercultural Group. She has regional responsibility for the implementation of intercultural services and client support. This includes candidate assessment and selection, intercultural training for relocating employees and their families, repatriation training, intercultural business training for those working internationally, and global awareness programs. During her 3 and a half years with the company, she has had articles published in industry relevant magazines and she has assisted in the cultural effectiveness and adaptability of hundreds of international assignees at multinational corporations in an ever changing professional landscape.
Having lived in five countries herself, Emma has first-hand experience with the unique challenges of cultural adjustment and international relocation. Though originally English, Emma grew up entirely in Hong Kong and has lived in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, China and Spain before settling back in the Special Administrative Region. She speaks Mandarin and holds a BSc in Sociology from Bristol University. Emma worked for 2 years in hospitality prior to entering the training and development field in 2008.
