Hosted by the Women of Influence  Committee
Although times are changing, there are still more men at senior levels within organizations all across the world . China ranks 61st in the Global Gender Gap Index, according to the WEF Global Gender Gap Report of 2011 and at the moment only 17% of highly skills and leadership positions are held by women.   How are we to understand this gender disparity, and what impact is it having on competitiveness? Utilizing data from MRG's vast repository, this presentation will feature studies in which male and female executives were matched for characteristics like management level, functional area, and age and then compared in areas of leadership effectiveness and competency.

Attend this presentation to explore some deep, discerning questions about women in leadership, including the following:

In what ways are women and men similar and different in their approaches to leadership? What distinguishes highly effective middle management women from highly effective senior management women? What behaviors can women leaders develop earlier to help them have a greater impact on their leadership roles? What do we know about perceptions of women in leadership roles that may limit their opportunities to reach their full potential? And, what can we do about these perceptions? What stereotypes about women leaders are just fundamentally incorrect?
