Impact of the Outcome of US Elections on US International Tax Policy
Hosted by the Taxation Committee Many important US tax issues are the subject of debate in the elections. In this informative presentation, Josh Odintz - a tax partner based in Baker & McKenzie's Washington DC office with extensive US government experience dealing with tax policy and tax legislation - will summarize the key issues, the candidates' positions on these issues, and proposed legislation, and will speculate on how different election outcomes would impact US International Tax Policy.
Among other topics, he will discuss the state of play vis-a-vis income tax rates, estate tax provisions, territorial tax proposals, subpart F, the foreign earned income exclusion, disclosure obligations, and FATCA.
