7:45-10:00am. Nearly 200 countries gathered in the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) held in Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015.  Many are calling it a huge step forward as nations negotiated an agreement to tackle climate change with commitments to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
In Hong Kong, the Government published the Hong Kong Climate Change Report 2015 in November which was then presented in COP21.  While the Government has taken initial steps, there remains to be major challenges ahead to make the low carbon transition.
The joint Chambers present to you a breakfast briefing by the following expert panel:
Ms. Christine Loh, Under Secretary for the Environment in Hong Kong Dr. Jeanne Ng, Director - Group Sustainability of CLP Holdings Ltd Ms.
Andrea Leung, Climate Change Policy Adviser at British Consulate-General Hong Kong
They will give a debriefing of the COP21 as well as provide insight on climate change policies, what it means for Hong Kong, and where we go from here. As the world is trending towards the goal of a low carbon future, it is important that we continue to lead in the engagement of businesses and the public to establish our place in this transition.
