Hosted by the Financial Services Committee Edelman's 2013 Trust Barometer offers a deep analysis of what the informed public and general populations have to say about banking and financial services – the findings are not overwhelmingly positive.
Trust in Hong Kong's banking and financial services industry has only remained steady in the past year in contrast to a significant 13-point rebound in the overall institution of business. Less than half of all the respondents believe banks in Hong Kong offer an excellent or good level of service. The needle moves forward only slightly when it comes to progress since the global financial crisis of 2008.
Just over half of the respondents agree that banks and the financial services industries have taken corrective steps in the past five years. - What can the financial sector do to improve its standing among the public? - What obstacles does the industry face in 2013? - How can the industry overcome these challenges?
