12:00-2:00pm. Ms. Christine Loh, Under Secretary for the Environment, will share progress on key measures so far and look ahead to further changes in the run up to the new air quality targets planned for 2020.
Air quality is an important issue for Hong Kong, with intense public interest in delivering real improvements as we move forward.
Government is undertaking a range of initiatives to improve the situation, targeting motor vehicles, marine vessels and other sources, as well as working closely with Guangdong to build a cleaner air-shed for the Pearl River Delta as a whole.
So, what progress is being made?  Is our air actually getting cleaner?  How have things changed in the last few years and what plans are there for more improvement as we move forward to the next decade?
