The United States has long enjoyed and continues to enjoy productive cooperation with Hong Kong and Macau in a variety of areas, from trade and bilateral investment to educational and cultural exchanges. Kurt W. Tong is the new Consul General representing the United States to Hong Kong and Macau. In his first month, he is meeting with a wide range of government officials, business leaders, educators, and cultural and civil society organizations in the two Special Administrative Regions.
In his address, Consul General Tong will reflect on his first month on the job and discuss the importance of a strong relationship between the United States and Hong Kong and Macau.
