The challenge of tackling corporate fraud and misfeasance has been high on the agenda for regulators and law enforcement bodies around the world, including those in Asia. In Hong Kong, the Securities and Futures Commission has highlighted this area as one of its key priorities for supervision and enforcement. It is important for Hong Kong that those efforts yield effective results: Hong Kong’s continuing status as one of the world’s top listing and financial centres might depend on it.

In this session, and in a “fireside discussion” format, the speakers will look at

  • the challenges of preventing, spotting and tackling fraud within listed (or to be listed) companies
  • how those challenges can be addressed, from the perspective of the companies in question and those who advise such companies
  • how regulatory rules and regulators are looking to tackle those challenges

First 15-20 minutes is for networking
