Blockchain is a special technology for peer-to-peer transaction platforms. It has the potential to radically change the energy industry as we know it. Third-party intermediaries, whose services that are needed today, can be eliminated, enabling businesses and consumers to cut costs and speed up processes. Manual tasks can now be carried out automatically through smart contracts.

Blockchain shows a lot of promise to Hong Kong businesses and the wider energy industry. Scott Likens, PwC Hong Kong / China's Emerging Technologies Leader will provide an overview of the technology, the benefits to the energy industry and the wider Hong Kong business community.
