Please join us as AmCham’s incoming Chairman, Mr. Jack Lange, identifies, highlights and addresses the pressing issues impacting the business communities in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific. Most importantly, he will share insights on AmCham’s key priorities for 2018.

Jack Lange served as AmCham Vice-Chairman in 2017, and has served on the American Chamber’s Board of Governors since 2014.

As our Special Guests at this luncheon, AmCham will host the U.S. Deputy Consul General Thomas Hodges, and more than 20 Foreign Service Officers at the U.S. Consulate in Hong Kong from the political and economic section, foreign commercial service, public affairs, regional security, consular section, and foreign agricultural sections to thank them for another year of close cooperation with the Chamber’s Board, Committees, and members on their priority issues plus a wide range of other programmatic and advocacy activities. Excellent networking opportunities throughout the event.

    Jack Lange is a partner in the Corporate Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP (https://www.paulweiss.com/). He has been based in the firm’s Hong Kong office since 1994.

    Jack’s practice is concentrated principally on mergers and acquisitions. He is highly experienced in the representation of private equity funds and other financial investors in connection with their activities in Asia, including investment activities and portfolio company financing and acquisition activities. Jack has represented major private equity funds, as well as leading strategic investors in the technology, communications and media fields, in connection with complex and highly structured investments and fund raisings in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan.

    Jack is admitted to legal practice in Hong Kong, New York, the District of Columbia. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Princeton University. Prior to joining Paul, Weiss in 1988, Jack served in the Office of the Legal Advisor of the U.S. Department of State and as Deputy General Counsel of the Multinational Force and Observers, the international organization that provides the peacekeeping force under the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty.

    Jack served as President of The American Club Hong Kong in 2012.
