The energy industry is facing an era of rapid change stemming from the rise of renewables and distributed generation and storage. Alongside this transformation, digital technologies are another change that incumbent players must adapt to, but also an opportunity to tackle the challenges of the energy transition. However, while most stakeholders in the energy value chain understand that digital transformation is a necessity, it remains an enormous concept with no single definition and many struggles to grasp what those changes will be.
In this presentation, Lux Research will:
• Look beyond the buzzwords of digital technologies and identify the tangible business impacts digital transformation should achieve for successful deployment
• Discuss a variety of use cases where digital technologies achieve one or more of these business impacts in planning and design, operations, and customer engagement
• Highlight the opportunities and strategies to successfully rollout a digital strategy in Asia and China as well as the Greater Bay Area
