Soon after he began his journey in fashion, working for Emilio Pucci (Retail Controller), Gucci (Greater China CFO) and Replay (CEO Apac). In 2016 Filippo joined Vip.com as BD Director for international brands and established a profitable business in less than one year. In 2017 Filippo joined Roberto Cavalli, in one year and a half he opened in 3 new markets and increased the store network from 2 to 20 across Asia. In 2019 Filippo joined Geox as GM for Apac following and developing a network of over 500 stores between retail and wholesale across all countries in the region. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. named Pierre Perusset the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong – the highest hotel in the world on December 8, 2011.Prior to this appointment, Mr. Perusset was the Managing Director of The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place, JW Marriott Jakarta, and Mayflower Marriott Executive Apartment. He has more than 40 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry, in excess of 12 of which has been with The Ritz-Carlton. His work experience spans more than ten countries including Europe, U.S., Asia and the Middle East. He first joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as Executive Assistant Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, Japan in 1999.
His achievements include being named Best Leader in the Industry by the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Indonesia in 2006 and General Manager of the year by Middle East Hotelier Magazine in 2004. Mr. Perusset was also conferred the title of Commandeur de l'Ordre des Vins Vaudois (Commander of the Order of Vaud Wines) by the Office des Vins Vaudois (The Office of Vaud Wines) of Lausanne, Switzerland in 2017. Under his leadership, The Ritz-Carlton properties have won numerous regional and international awards and recognition. During his tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, the property has been named by Aon Hewitt as the “Best of the Best Employer”, the highest recognition, and “Best Employer for Generation Y” two times in a row. The hotel and its spa have also garnered the prestigious Forbes five stars in less than two years after opening. Fflur Roberts manages the research programme for the global luxury goods industry at Euromonitor International, which she joined in June 2000. In her current post, Fflur Roberts has direct responsibility for the content and quality of Euromonitor’s luxury goods research, which provides strategic analysis of the global market and in-depth coverage of the industry in 32 countries worldwide. With Fflur at the helm of Euromonitor’s luxury goods research the company was awarded Luxury Researcher of the Year 2016 by global media company Luxury Daily and in 2017 was on the Luxury Women to Watch list.
Fflur has written extensively in the field of business and luxury and in her time at Euromonitor has authored numerous global strategic reports and is often referenced in the international press on the luxury business and has addressed luxury leaders at many leading global luxury conferences around the world. Presently Fflur is co-editing a chapter on the USA and European luxury market for The Oxford Handbook of Luxury Business (Oxford University Press, forthcoming). Esterina Nervino is currently the Director of Retail in Asia (part of Bluebell) and is in charge of the media brand operations including content selection, curation, edition, and media strategy. Additionally, she is involved in communication and business development projects for the group. She is also Chairman of the Retail Committee for The Italian Chamber of Commerce, and Vice-Chairman of the Women’s Leadership Network of The Italian Chamber of Commerce. Prior to Retail in Asia, she taught media and business communication at the university level, and worked for Italian companies in fashion and tourism. She is often invited to share her social semiotic perspectives on luxury and fashion branding in different public and private institutions. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she is a member of the Research Centre for Professional Communication in English. She is also Junior Adjunct Professor of Intercultural Communication and Language Variation at the Department of Studies on Language and Culture of the Universita’ degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Italy. Her research interests include luxury and art, luxury and space, luxury and CSR, country of origin effect and language use, retail experience, intercultural communication. She has holds a M.A. in Foreign Languages for Business Communication from the Universita’ degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia (Italy), a B.A. in Language Mediation from the Universita’ degli Studi della Calabria (Italy), and has also studied at the University of Cambridge (UK) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
