Dr. Chew is an Associate Professor of Practice in Finance at the Department of Finance, and Associate Director for MBA programmes, at CUHK Business School. He also serves as an Honorary Research Advisor for FinFabrik, a Hong Kong-based financial technology solutions provider that specializes in capital markets. Before his current positions, he worked as a senior economist at J.P. Morgan, International Monetary Fund and Morgan Stanley, covering Asia Pacific economies. Prior to returning to Asia, he worked as an economic consultant at NERA Economic Consulting in Chicago, advising multinational corporations on their international pricing strategies. He has published in journals such as the Asia Asset Management Journal and the International Tax Review. He also has substantial lecturing experience at universities in the U.S., Hong Kong and Singapore, in economics and finance courses. Dr. Chew received a PhD in economics from University of Chicago, an MPhil in economics from University of Cambridge, and a BSc in economics from the London School of Economics.

David S. Lee is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong Business School where he works in the areas of fintech, ethics, law, and governance and teaches courses for undergraduate, MBA, EMBA, and executive education programs. Combining his interests in ethics and fintech, David is a co-teacher for a first of its kind massive online open course titled Fintech Ethics and Risks, which has over 7,000 students globally. His commentary and writing have been featured in outlets like the Harvard Business Review, Handelsblatt, Le Temps, Nikkei Asian Review, The Korea Times, and South China Morning Post. David also served as the inaugural Director for Career Development at HKU’s Business School and is actively involved in advising and researching related to career paths and satisfaction.
Prior to academia, David worked in investment management in London and Hong Kong. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and also has experience as a lawyer. David actively advises start-ups and venture investors as well as serving on boards as a director. He completed his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University, received his legal training from UCLA, and graduate degrees from Harvard and LSE. Timothy Tam is a policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement professional with a decade of managerial experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors. As the Head of Public Policy and Government Affairs of Google Hong Kong, Timothy coordinates Google’s public policy efforts in Hong Kong and engages the government, chambers and other stakeholders in building Hong Kong into a smarter digital city.
Timothy was an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong government and was responsible for formulation of policies on healthcare service reform and associated inter-departmental initiatives. He subsequently worked on policy advocacy in a couple of business associations in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Google, Timothy spearheaded the implementation of a multi-year advocacy campaign as a project manager at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Timothy holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Global Management from the University of Hong Kong. Olivia Wong is Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion at John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd, a role that was newly created in August 2018. A passionate advocate for inclusion in the workplace and inclusive leadership, she is responsible for developing a coherent diversity and inclusion (“D&I”) strategy and aligning D&I initiatives across the Swire Group. The strategy aims to create a more supportive and inclusive work environment for all staff. Swire is one of the first conglomerates in the region to pioneer a dedicated role in D&I within the organization.
Prior to taking up her current position, Olivia was Director HR & Administration at Swire Properties Ltd. Before that she was General Manager – Leadership Development at John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd and Managing Director at Ethos International Ltd, with responsibility for recruiting and fostering talent for the Swire Group. She joined Cathay Pacific as management trainee in 1988, and had almost 20 years of broad management experience in Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong, South East Asia and Europe. Olivia graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She also has an MBA from the University of Michigan.
