The deeply entrenched relationship between the United States and China is intertwined in a complex balance of interests. On the one hand, the U.S. has benefited greatly from the unprecedented economic rise of China, with China being the largest trading partner to the U.S.; on the other hand, there is also "substantial friction" in this most important, albeit, unbalanced bilateral trade relationship.

In this latest episode of our U.S.-China Trade Tension Series, Ambassador Charlene Barshefsky, former U.S. trade representative who is best known as the architect and chief negotiator of China's WTO agreement, will share an insider's perspective on what lies ahead for the United States and China as they address fundamental commercial challenges.
