What does the future of work hold for Hong Kong? Will technology eliminate jobs or create new ones? How are young people changing the workplace? Will today's jobs survive in the smart cities of tomorrow? Is Hong Kong's education system up to the task of providing children with the skills they will need for tomorrow's jobs?

Join us at AmCham's first Future of Work Forum to hear our speakers and panelists discuss these issues and more.

Keynote: What Does Hong Kong Need to Compete?

Bernard Chan

With today’s breathtaking pace of change, purposeful engagement can be a powerful way to inspire alignment, innovation and sense of belonging among a company’s workforce, and help reinvigorate and unleash the full potential of its talents. Big Little Things is a new initiative led by Our Hong Kong Foundation's Business for Social Good platform, for which Mr Bernard Chan is the Convenor. The initiative calls on the creativity and pragmatism of the business community to help address some pain-in-the-neck issues faced by the grassroots community, inspiring hope and happiness in small, but tangible and authentic ways. Through a one-week innovation sprint, corporate teams create workable solutions to help improve the wellbeing of the grassroots community, while re-discovering teamwork, empathy and “can-do” attitude with a shared purpose.

Brian HendersonEmma KenyonRob KoeppRebecca Terner Lentchner

More women than men are graduating from university, so why isn't this better reflected in the number of senior females in the workplace? As technology plays an increasingly important role in the future of work, does it matter that there are so few women designing technology? What do men need to do to help drive equality in the workplace and ensure women have the opportunity to achieve their full potential? What will women look for in their future employers and how can companies compete for the best talent?
