These findings are the highlights of Verizon’s ' 2014 Data Breach Investigations Report ” and are intended to enable a more focused and effective approach to fighting cyberthreats.
Based on big data analysis, these findings provide deep insights on how we approach cyberthreats as an industry and using results from intelligence gathering, enable organizations to more strategically determine their best defense.
Now in its seventh year of publication, this latest data breach report analyzes more than 1,300 confirmed data breaches as well as more than 63,000 reported security incidents. For the first time, security incidents that don’t result in breaches are included in order to gain a better understanding of the cybersecurity landscape.
