Companies around the world are starting to realize the importance of needing to analyze activities happening across social media in order to obtain a competitive edge in their daily business. With millions of conversations happening across multiple platforms, social media users have become an essential source of information for every market research department, product and marketing manager alike.
There are a number of international companies that are currently in the space of social data analytics and many claim to be able to analyze Chinese content, however they quickly come to realize that analyzing Chinese netizens has its challenges.
In the presentation, Michael Smith will talk about the importance of analyzing social data for companies, the challenges western companies face when trying to analyze Chinese social data and how Soshio is trying to bridge the cultural gap between east and west.
